And The Classes Begin
Today was the first day that I had class. My first class was Multicultural America. We will be reading books and poems from Native American, African American, and Asian American writers. The professor always looked at us during class because he thought we would know all the answers because we were American. We are learning about powwows next week. Right after that we had Estonian Language and I have decided that the Estonian language is made up and there is no organization to the language. There are 14 forms to every Estonian word, there are no gender defining words, and the words completely change when you want to change a word into an adjective. This will be the most difficult class I have ever taken because I think they make it up as they go. The teacher made us read OUTLOUD in front of the entire class not even knowing how to pronounce the words and having no idea what we were saying. The professor just started learning english so we cant even understand her most of the time. It will be very interesting to see how this class turns out and if I can catch on to their made up language. My last class of the day was Radical Political Philosophy. It was a very boring class today because the professor only talked about what he thought Radical Political Philosophy so I think it will get more interesting once we start applying the theories to our readings. After class Hannah and Kayla made the best dinner we have eaten during our time here. We had salad with chicken and potatoes. Very delicious and filling. There is only so much you can make with one working stove and no oven or microwave. Somehow we have managed to make some pretty good meals with what little we have.
