Over 6,000 miles and 36 hours later, with no sleep, we finally landed in Tallinn, Estonia. Sean and I landed at 5:40 where we met our 2 other friends at the airport. We then tried to find help...but NO ONE spoke any english. We found our way to a bus that took us to the center bus station where we needed to take a 2 hour bus ride to our final destination-Tartu. The bus decided to drop us off 3 block from the center station, so we each had to drag our 2-50 pound suitcases through 3 inches of slushy snow...not roll, drag. I had never been so exhausted in my life...but that wasnt the end. After our bus ride we had to again drag our luggage through the snow over a mile to our dorm room. When we got to our room, we crashed and called it a night, although my body was still telling me it as 2pm back home.
Sean and I in the Newark Airport not exhausted, still excited for or international flight.
The surprisingly delicious airplane meal. Notice how we were served with legit silverwear. NOT a spork!! I have never been offered so many snacks on any trip I have been on. We were offered sandwiches, granola bars, muffins, a meal, drinks a million times and we were only offered pretzels ONCE!
We had an 8 hour layover in Stockholm so we decided to take a bus into the city an walk around for a couple hours. It was freezing but a very beautiful city with old, colorful buildings with incredible architecture.
