The next morning began with me getting sick during breakfast. Great way to spend the first day in a new country! Looking back now, getting sick on the sidewide in a pile of snow is kind of funny. But since it was our first day, we had a lot of places to go to get arrangements made so I had to suck it up. Sean and I did not enjoy our roommates or the floor we were on so we decided to room with the other two girls that we came to Estonia with. We all share a 2 bedroom flat with a sorta of kitchen with a mini fidge and a mini stove. I couldnt spend the whole day in my room being sick so I had to suck it up because we had to go buy food. Best memory of the day was getting sick on the sidewalk. Cant get any better than that. We quickly learned that we do not have many hours of sunlight from the time that we leave our rooms. The sun starts going down about 4:30. I also learned that you are very lucky if you can get an Estonian to look at you and its a miracle if you can get one to smile at you. I have made it my goal to make an Estonian smile back at me. They are very idependent people and they do not want to talk to anyone. After all of our walking around town getting food, we came back to our flat and made a pasta dinner. By the end of the night I was feeling much better and ready for a new day.
Our colorfully cheerful bedroom. The floor, walls, and ceiling are all the same color- it brings out the great yellow closet doors.
