The Estonian Language

Here is a little insight as to just how hard the Estonian language truly is. Last Thursday we went back to the Gunpowder Cellar after class to have dinner, hang out, listen to live music, and watch some bull riding. We sat with some other students that we didn't know, but it was fun meeting new people. There was a student who spoke fluent Estonian and he asked the waitress for pankcakes. However, he was brought a bowl of ICE CREAM. Just another example of how difficult the language is. You ask for pankcakes, but they will just bring you whatever they feel like.

Friday afternoon, Sean and I went to an art museum right in the city center. It was quite an interesting experience. We lucked out because the last Friday of every month is free admission and that just so happened to be that day so we got in for free. The first floor was very contemporary and dark. Some of the artwork and sculptures might give me nightmares. The upper 3 floors were more still-life and realistic, but still dark. Most of the artwork was oil canvas, however, there were some watercolor, drawings, sculptures, and carvings.
