Orientation
We had to walk about a mile to the library to begin our international student orientation. The only thing I can remember from the day was learning about Estonian people. When talking to an anglais, it is better not to speak. We learned that we should an Estonian not ask questions if we can not figure something out ... becuase they do not like you to help you. As you can see they are very friendly people. Orientation was the first time when we were around people who spoke English ... not well, but they spoke English. We were taken out to lunch with our tutors that we were given to help us with any problems we would face. I ended up eating at a Chinese restaurant and I met some fun people from Italy. After lunch we were given a tour of the main building of the University of Tartu. They took us up to a room they called the "student prison" which they used to use to punish students for breaking the law. Apparently many students would end up in this prison at one time or another, which is surprising because I have yet to see much interaction from an Estonian. After orientation we retired back to our flat to make another dinner and called it a night.
